The Rockets outscored the Kings 52-37 in the second half last night to surge to a nice home win. They outrebounded the Kings 55-36 which played a huge factor in this game. Kyle Lowry led the way for the Rockets last night with 25 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 2 steals. Samuel Dalembert (21 points, 16 rebounds, 1 steal and 4 blocked shots) and Luis Scola (21 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists) also had huge games for the Rockets last night. Kevin Martin (13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists) and Chandler Parsons (11 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 1 blocked shot) also pitched in for the Rockets in this game. The Rockets are now 4-7 on the year.

The Houston Rockets’ rookies are showing a lot of promise

The rookie forwards of the Rockets are doing a solid job so far this year. 23-year old Chandler Parsons has bumped Chase Budinger to the bench. Parsons has played in 9 games (3 starts) so far this year and he is averaging 19.3 minutes, 7.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 1.0 steal per game. 22-year old Marcus Morris hasn’t got much of a chance to show what he can do so far this year. He has played in 3 games (0 starts) and he is averaging 5.7 minutes, 1.7 points and 0.7 rebounds per game.

San Antonio Spurs 101, Houston Rockets 95 in O.T.

The Rockets were outscored 11-5 in the 4th quarter last night and it did them in. Kyle Lowry (22 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals) and Luis Scola (20 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal) led the way for the Rockets in this game. Kevin Martin also had a very solid game with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist. Patrick Patterson pitched in with 10 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in this game. The Rockets are now 3-7 on the season.

Houston Rockets 82, Charlotte Bobcats 70

The Rockets only shot 38.6% from the floor last night, but it didn’t matter against the Bobcats. That is because the Rockets held the Bobcats to 34.1% shooting from the floor and they outrebounded them 57-44! Chandler Parsons led the way for the Rockets last night with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 1 steal. Kevin Martin only shot 5 of 19 from the floor but he still finished up with 17 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists. Jordan Hill had an incredible game off the bench with 12 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist and 5 blocked shots in only 18 minutes on the floor. The Rockets are now 3-6 on the year.

Goran Dragic is playing well for the Houston Rockets as of late

25-year old point guard Goran Dragic has fit in really well as the starter replacing the injured Kyle Lowry. In his last two games (both starts), Dragic is averaging 37 minutes, 15.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 9.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Dragic has now played in 8 games (2 starts) overall this year for the Rockets and he is averaging 19.8 minutes, 8.3 points, 1.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game so far this year. Dragic will return to the bench when Kyle Lowry returns to action, but he showed that he’s a more than capable replacement if needed.
