The Rockets didn’t play well on D last night allowing the Hawks to hit 50% from the floor and it hurt them bad. Carl Landry led the way for the Rockets with 18 points and 8 rebounds last night. Luis Scola also had a really solid game with 17 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Trevor Ariza pitched in with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists last night. The Rockets are now 7-6 on the season.

Houston Rockets 97, Minnesota Timberwolves 84

The Rockets outrebounded the T-Wolves 46-36 last night and they outscored them 29-17 in the 4th quarter surging to victory. Luis Scola led the way for the Rockets last night with 20 points, 16 rebounds and 3 assists. Trevor Ariza only shot 6 of 19 from the floor but he still finished up with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals last night. Aaron Brooks pitched in with 13 points, 3 assists and 2 steals last night. Chuck Hayes was tough around the rim with 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 steals last night. The Rockets are now 7-5 on the year.

Phoenix Suns 111, Houston Rockets 105

The Rockets didn’t play any defense last night as the Suns shot 51.9% from the floor and that was a big reason for the loss. Carl Landry led the way for the Rockets last night with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 1 assist in 30 minutes off the bench. Trevor Ariza had another decent game for the Rockets with 19 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Aaron Brooks only shot 5 of 18 from the floor last night but he still finished up with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 13 assists. The Rockets are now 6-5 on the year.

Houston Rockets 101, Los Angeles Lakers 91

The Rockets outrebounded the Lakers 60-38 last night and they held them to 38.1% shooting from the floor as they dominated the Lakers much worse than the final score shows. Aaron Brooks led the way for the Rockets last night with 33 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. David Andersen was solid off the bench with 19 points and 6 rebounds in only 25 minutes. Carl Landry was also very effective off the bench last night with 15 points and 10 rebounds in 27 minutes off the bench. The Rockets are now 6-4 on the year.

Chase Budinger has been productive so far for the Houston Rockets

21-year old small forward Chase Budinger has been solid so far this season for the Rockets. He has played in 8 games (0 starts) for the Rockets this season and he is averaging 18.5 minutes, 9.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. Budinger is also a really good shooter from three point range which is the skill that will get him on court often for the Rockets this year. 22-year old shooting guard Jermaine Taylor is the other rookie for the Rockets this season and he has played in 3 games (0 starts) and he is averaging 3.0 minutes and 2.3 points per game. He will have a hard time getting much playing time this year for the Rockets.
