The Houston Rockets have acquired G/F Gerald Green from the T-Wolves for Kirk Snyder, a 2010 2nd round draft pick and cash. Green wasn’t get much playing time in Minnesota but that will likely change in Houston. Green played in 29 games (0 starts) this season for the T-Wolves and he averaged 12.3 minutes, 5.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game. Green was only shooting 33.1% from the floor this year for the T-Wolves. Green has now played in 142 games (29 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 17.7 minutes, 8.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. Green should give the Rockets firepower off the bench.

The Rockets have acquired Bobby Jackson, Adam Haluska and a 2nd round pick from the Hornets for Bonzi Wells and Mike James. The Rockets have also acquired the draft rights to Sergei Lishchuk from the Grizzlies for the draft rights to Malick Badiene. Jackson played in 46 games (0 starts) this season for the Hornets and he was averaging 19.4 minutes, 7.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game. Jackson only was shooting 39.2% from the floor but 81.6% from the free throw line. Jackson has now played in 658 games (128 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 22.5 minutes, 10.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.0 steal per game. Adam Haluska is a 6′5″, 210 pound guard from Iowa who has missed his whole rookie season so far due to injury.

Bonzi Wells played in 51 games (7 starts) for the Rockets this season and he averaged 22.0 minutes, 9.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.0 steal per game. Mike James played in 33 games (1 start) this year for the Rockets and he averaged 16.3 minutes, 6.5 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.

This trade probably hurt the Rockets bench a little bit, but they made up for it with the other trade they made today.
