Blogged under Front Page by Nothing but Net on Wednesday 13 December 2006 at 10:58 am

The Lakers built up an 84-64 lead after three quarters, but the Rockets bench showed some heart and went on a 26-1 run in the 4th quarter that brought them to within 1 point with 2 minutes to go……but then the Lakers turned it on and won.

Yao led the way for the Rockets with 26 points and 5 rebounds.  Luther Head scored 21 points in place of Tracy McGrady.  John Lucas played well off the bench with 13 points and 5 rebounds.  Juwan Howard also had a decent game off the bench with 10 points and 5 rebounds.

The Rockets fell to 14-7 with this loss.

Rockets don’t let their rookies play much

Blogged under Rookie Reports, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Wednesday 13 December 2006 at 12:24 am

Vassilus Spanoulis has only played in 12 games and has averaged 11.9 minutes, 3.6 points, 1.0 rebound and 0.9 assists per game so far this season.  His problem has been his shooting as he has only hit 35.1% of his shots from the floor.

Steve Novak has only played in 8 games and has averaged 7.6 minutes, 2.6 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.1 assists per game so far this season.

Only time will tell if this draft helped the Rockets or not.
