Rockets hold off T-Wolves 82-75

The Rockets won this game on Tuesday despite only shooting 38% as a team.  Yao led the way with 25 points and 10 rebounds.  Shane Battier added 17 points.  Rafer Alston was very active with 13 points, 7 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks.  Chuck Hayes was tough around the basket with 4 points and 11 rebounds.  T-Mac had an off night only scoring 8 points, but dishing out 7 assists.

The Rockets improved to 10-4 on the season.

Defense lead way to 85-76 win over Grizzlies

The Rockets were all over the Grizzlies on defense, holding them to 37.7% shooting from the floor.  The Rockets are now Yao’s team, and he’s bringing it every night.  Saturday Yao scored 28 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.  T-Mac had a good game with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists.  Rafer Alston did a little bit of everything with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists.

The Rockets have improved to 9-4 on the season with this win.

Rockets nip the Wizards 86-82

This was a disturbing win for the Rockets.  They played great defense, holding the Wizards to 33.3% shooting from the floor.  The Rockets also out-rebounded them 57-44, but yet only won by 4 points.  Go Figure!

Yao was dominant against the Wiz with 25 points and 14 rebounds.  T-Mac had a solid all-around game with 13 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists.  Rafer Alston (12 points, 4 rebounds), Luther Head (12 points, 5 rebounds) and rookie Vassilis Spanoulis (10 points) all pitched in on offense.

The Rockets improve to 8-4 on the season.

 

Rockets beat the Knicks 97-90

The Rockets shot 47.6% from the floor as a team on their way to victory on Monday Night.  Yao had another really good game with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks.  T-Mac had a boxscore stuffer with 24 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks.  Rafer Alston (17 points) and Luther Head (10 points) added to the offense.

The Rockets have improved to 7-4 on the season.

Rockets go cold in 4th quarter and lose 104-92 to Pistons

The Rockets went ice-cold in the 4th quarter as the Pistons out-scored them 28-14.  Yao had a dominant game with 33 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists.  Tracy McGrady had Yao’s back with 24 points.  Shane Battier added 9 points and 6 rebounds.

The Rockets fell to 6-4 with the loss.
